Decision workshops

You leave with a decision the same day. Next time, someone on your team can run the same meeting without me.

I run a half-day, in-person session so a team can make one real decision, what to ship, what to cut, which direction to take with the people who have to live with it in the room.

You leave with a choice, owners, and next steps, not a wall of notes. I also leave a small kit, a host script and the materials and templates that stay with the team.

What happens

  1. Preparation (1 hour)

    Intake: one decision, who must live with it, what done looks like

    A written decision question, not a vague alignment session

  2. Half-day, in person

    Generate options, vote with criteria, discuss, photograph the wall, name next steps

    A choice, owners, and a date

  3. Leave-behind

    Host script, plus the materials and templates we used, one named next host

    Your team can run it again, I am optional

Questions

Who has to be in the room, and for how long?

The people who have to live with the decision, plus a design lead, founder, or ED who will be there. About 6–16 people. Half a day, in person, in the NY Metro area or in a space you already have. About an hour of intake before that, so we walk in with a written decision question.

What if we still don’t decide?

The point of the session is one real choice, not a wall of notes. If the room is split, we still leave with the options, who owns the next step, and a date. I will not dress up a non-decision as alignment.

Do you do this on Zoom?

No. In person, one stuck decision. Half a day in the NY Metro area or in a space you already have.

Will you just keep running our meetings?

No. I leave a small kit and we name a next host before I go, so your team can run it again. I am optional after that. This is not a retainer.

How much does it cost?

Usually $500–$1,500 for the preparation, half-day workshop, and the leave-behind. It can vary depending on the decision, the size of the room, and the type of client.
